About Big River Trail

Starting at our spectacular trail head across from the all new Dennis Brewer Fire Station No. 3 in West Memphis, bikers and hikers on both sides of the river will find newly paved trails, along the 7-mile loop through the West Memphis flood plain adjacent to the Mississippi River. Experience vistas over looking the Downtown Memphis Skyline and natural woodlands that once carpeted the entire area up to the river. Sure, seven miles is pretty short for a paved trail, but it's a great way to decompress after hitting the hustle and bustle of the city life. You'll get to check out the Mississippi River, coal barges, and finish up in downtown West Memphis.

Created as a cross-country, riverside trail utilizing the levee system from the Mississippi  headwaters to the Gulf of Mexico, this national trail for bikers and hikers will be an international destination. It will comprise 1607 miles of levee on the Lower Mississippi alone.

NO MATTER HOW YOU TRAVEL IT, BIG RIVER TRAIL PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES FOR RECREATION AND FITNESS

WITH A WHOLE NEW POINT OF VIEW.
