How We Play

Tourists often enjoy visiting when West Memphis holds its many festivals. Those include the Blues Off Broadway Music Fest in May, the Fourth of July Freedom Fest and Firework Show, Taste of the Town in August, the Arkansas Flatlander Metric Century bike ride during fall, and the annual Christmas Parade and Christmas Tree Lighting in December.

Visitors also enjoy our new bike share program providing a network of bicycles that can be rented on-demand from stations in two locations one located at the Big River Trailhead and the other at the Big River Crossing - West, it changes everything about urban transportation. The process is easy: you go to a station, pick up a bike, and go. Then put it away at another station when you’re done.

With over 2000 gaming machines, Southland Casino Racing features live greyhound racing onsite throughout the year and simulcast out-of-state races, as well as table games like blackjack, Texas Hold ‘Em and Omaha tournament poker. Some of the region’s best musicians perform at Southland Casino’s newly-renovated Juke Joint, echoing a time when Eighth Street was called “Beale Street West.” Visitors will also love the dining options, including the New Orleans-inspired steaks at Bourbon Street Steakhouse and themed daily offerings at the World Market Buffet that include Surf N’ Turf Fridays and Crab Legs Saturdays.

For fans of fast-paced attractions, visit the Riverside International Speedway, the oldest continually operated dirt track in Arkansas with a variety of race car classes such as Midget race cars, sprint cars, and stock cars.
